Rome (IT) Colors for Peace / Peace Run International Day of Peace 2020

It is the eternal frame of the Colosseum Archaeological Park, which for years has become a symbolic place for peace appeals and awareness campaigns, to welcome children’s dreams for a world of peace, embodied by the drawings displayed in Piazza del Colosseo and on the Via Sacra. The works were collected from the students who participated in the running relay of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run and by the Associazione I Colori per la Pace of Sant’Anna di Stazzema.

A big thank you goes to the Colosseum Archaeological Park which from the very beginning believed in the values of the “Colors of Peace” program and without whose collaboration the event would never have been possible, in particular to the Superintendent Director of the Colosseum Archaeological Park. Doctor Alfonsina Russo and the Director of the Colosseum Doctor Federica Rinaldi. The event was attended by the Municipality of Forte dei Marmi, represented by the Social Councilor Simona Seveso, the Colors for Peace Association of Sant’Anna di Stazzema, the Autremond Country Association, the Amici del Parco Association Carlo Felice, the Artist Dale, and the First District of Rome.

The exhibition, available free of charge from 20 to 27 September, saw 134 countries represented including Italy. 700 drawings of children from different cultures and traditions describe the dreams of peace and a better world by the youngest ones.
